A recent, unexpected meeting at VivaTech Paris became one of the clearest signs of Beonyx’s growing momentum in Europe. After seeing our company profile among the exhibitors, a Swedish defence official responsible for ground-drone strategy visited the Quebec pavilion specifically to learn more about the B1.
During the trip, our team also met with the French Army’s Battle Lab Terre and France’s Defence Innovation Agency, opening conversations about how the B1 could support emerging operational needs.
Beonyx CFO Philippe Gaumond told BetaKit, “Paris opened doors into the European defence world that are very hard to reach from Canada by email.”
The trip also produced concrete next steps. Beonyx signed a memorandum of understanding with French fuel-cell developer CLHYNN to explore extending the B1’s range in cold and remote environments. A demonstration with the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region is also planned for February in alpine resort conditions. Together, these developments move Beonyx beyond initial market interest and toward the local relationships needed to serve European customers effectively.
